Long Sutton: Knole Mill
This watermill apparently only functioned from about 1872 to 1883. It was built for the Duke of Devonshire estate and replaced a mill on a late medieval site higher upstream. The high breastshot waterwheel is 15’ diameter by 5’ width and was cast by ‘The Somerset Wheel & Wagon Co, Engineers & Millwrights, Martock’
