Layby along Welshpool Road
A large layby off the A458.

Layby at Ford
A popular, almost permanent roadside cafe in the A458 lay by at Ford. This layby is an older alignment of the Welshpool road from before the road was straightened with the removal of the old Shropshire & Montgomery Railway bridge nearby.

Welshpool Road at Ford
This stretch of the A458 was built to straighten out a bend under a bridge on the former Shropshire and Montgomery Railway at this point. The trees on the left are growing on the remains of the embankment that used to cross this new road alignment at this spot.

Goats at dusk in a rear garden at Ford
Great to meet these two characters here. They were wary, but also curious as to whether I had any interesting titbits about me. So we had a chat and I moved on, as I couldn't feed them and therefore didn't interest them much.
