The Old Forge house
It's not entirely clear from the maps which of the assorted buildings here would have been the forge - probably not the timber-framed actual house itself, more likely one of the brick or stone outbuildings nearby.

Ford at The Old Forge
Seen from the opposite direction to Image, and at rather lower water levels. As I was on a cycle, I felt the compunction to ride through it. Twice.

Another claimant to 'The Old Forge' house
The whole area around the ford through the Cound Brook is labelled The Old Forge on the maps, but this large house is the one that has the nameplate on its wall.

Farm compound at the road junction
My first thought, passing this, was "Hey, look, a pound" (like the ones at Image or Image) but on reflection it's rather larger than the traditional type for coralling a couple of stray pigs, sheep or cattle. It looks more like an 18th century enclosure for holding stock prior to market.
