Cottages at Radleth
There appears to be some inconsitency at the OS about the spelling here - the 1:50,000 maps call it Radlith; the 1:25,000 map calls it Radleth.

Wooden footbridge over the stream
A pleasant wooden footbridge carries the footpath over the brook here.
This footbridge is named for Chris Bagley and known as 'Bagger's Bridge'. Strangely, it isn't marked on the OS map, nor is the footpath associated with it which climbs through the woodland above here. I wonder why?

Plaque on the wooden footbridge for Chris Bagley
Bagger's Bridge. Chris Bagley was instrumental in ensuring that local footpaths were kept open, benefitted the whole community and to that end he liaised with local landowners, farmers, the local council, county council and other parties, forging a network of links that supported each other.
Of course we all learned during Covid-19 lockdowns from March 2020 onward how valuable a decent range of local footpaths really was! Enabling people on government furlough, working from home, made redundant, laid off or otherwise affected by the isolation of lockdown strictures and giving them scope to enjoy green spaces, early morning walks, outdoor exercise, time in nature and to rebuild their wellbeing, maintain their health and mobility and blow cobwebs away...
Here's to people like Chris Bagley. Who work for the general good of all, without any hidden agenda, not seeking position, power or preference, just 'doing good.' When did being a 'do gooder' become a slur?!?
His legacy is still paying dividends.
