Park House, Park Road, Wem
In use as flats since the 1970s, built as a house in the late 18th century.
Buildings of England: Shropshire states that the building was formerly known as The Hall and is believed to have been built for the daughter of the family who owned the adjacent property, The Old Wall in New Street. Until the early 20th century the house had extensive gardens which have now been largely built over. A new road was laid out to the north, separating the house from its coach house and other service buildings. Grade II* listed in 1951.

Wem Methodist Church
Viewed across Aston Street. The church is part of the Northern Area of the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit. The first Primitive Methodist chapel in Wem opened in High Street in 1823. After the building became too small to accommodate the congregation, a new chapel was erected in Chapel Street in 1842. That building was used until 1926 when the church seen here opened.

Aston Street, Wem
On the left are the premises of Grindall's of Wem, funeral directors. It remains independent although the Grindall family are no longer involved having sold the business in 1988. Beyond that is the Methodist church with its curious stubby spire. This building dates from 1926 when it replaced an earlier Primitive Methodist chapel on Chapel Street.
