The Holy Cross milepost
This sits right outside the entrance to the crematorium, and is much better looked after than many of the mileposts along this part of Thomas Telford's old A5 to Holyhead.

Cast iron post by the A5064, in parish of SHREWSBURY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), London Road; by Emstrey Cemetery, on the verge against hedge, on North side of road. Holy-cross iron casting, erected by the Watling Street, Shrewsbury District & Branch turnpike trust in the 19th century.
