Cast iron post by the A5064, in parish of SHREWSBURY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), London Road; by Emstrey Cemetery, on the verge against hedge, on North side of road. Holy-cross iron casting, erected by the Watling Street, Shrewsbury District & Branch turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHIFNAL / 16 / HOLY-CROSS : : LONDON / 149 : : SALOP / 1M 6FUR / HOLY-CROSS : Milestone Society National ID: SA_SFSB16.
