Old AA roadsign in Llanddewi-Brefi, Ceredigion
Oh, all right. It's a replica, recently placed on the side of a building just above where the original used to be. That original (which I don't recall seeing in all the years I have used that road) is apparently in safe keeping in the village hall, well away from souvenir hunters! "Rumour" has it that there are several more of these replicas in the village - money may talk - so it's not the only one in the village :o)
This is seen as you enter the village on the B4343 road from Llanfair Clydogau. The road is also part of National Cycle Route No 82. (Machynlleth, Aberystwyth, Tregaron, Lampeter, Cardigan, Fishguard.)
edit: Aha!! Take a look at this:

Old AA Sign in Llanddewi Brefi
Old AA Sign located on the west facing gable end of the workshop of Daffydd Davies, Stickmaker, on the north side of the B4343 in Llanddewi Brefi, 3 miles southwest of Tregaron. Llanddewi Brefi community.
This is a modern reproduction of a Circular, village name on black band, no Motor Union symbol or name type, dated 1923, showing distances Tregaron 3¼ Lampeter 7½ London 211¼. The original may be in the village hall.
There were five series of AA signs, mostly dating from 1923 and made by Francis & Co / Franco in Deptford, London. The village name and distance to London were displayed.

The New Inn, Llanddewi-Brefi, Ceredigion
It's always Christmas at Yvonne's! :-)
Cambrian Ale is sold from the handpump. There is sometimes a drop of Timothy Taylor Landlord Ale hidden away in the kitchen, so don't be afraid to ask.
Update: No more Landlord. Three tasty regional Welsh Ales are usually offered instead.

The New Inn is not the only pub in the village, but it is a very good one!! Yvonne said so! http://www.newinnllanddewibrefi.co.uk/

The New Inn at Llanddewi-Brefi, Ceredigion
This friendly pub is one of two in the village, and serves meals, real ale (The Cambrian Bitter is fine, and the Taylor "Landlord" is a tasty alternative) as well as doing bed and breakfast - ask for Yvonne! http://www.newinnllanddewibrefi.co.uk/
Update 2016. The Landlord bitter has been replaced by three tasty regional Welsh ales.

Llanddewi-Brefi store and post office, Ceredigion
This is an excellent village store and post office* just a few metres from both pubs and the church gates. The less than well maintained road sign does not show the way to Trampeter (as some wag has indicated in his attempt at repair)! The correct text should be:
Llanfair Clydogau
Llanbedr P.S.
Lampeter
B4343
P.S. = Pont Steffan
* Update: The Post Office was closed in late 2008. Disgraceful!
