'Lloyds Coaches' bus at Tal-y-bont
Lloyds Coaches, a Machynlleth based company, has taken over many of the Arriva routes in the Mach and Aberystwyth area, Arriva having now withdrawn from Mid-Wales. The bus seen in this view is on an X28 service from Machynlleth to Aberystwyth.

Bristol House/Golden Key
A pair of semi-detached houses overlooking the green at Tal-y-bont. They were built by a family of Joneses and one of the family kept the shop at Golden Key which was a grocer's and bakehouse. Bristol House was the village post office until 1941.

Square house Tal-y-bont
Actually it isn't square as the bit on the extreme left is an extension. I am puzzled as to what it was. The black boarding above the doors looks rather like a toll house board. And what was the red and white pole at the side by the bridge over the Afon Ceulan?

The 'square' at Tal-y-bont
The 'Black Lion' on the right nearest the camera. The opposition 'White Lion' in the centre. Nice to see that they are both surviving.
