Steep lane in Goginan
Most of Goginan is built on a hillside. This lane provides access from the A44 down into the Melindwr valley. In the distance you can see the head of the valley around Nant yr Arian.

The A44, Goginan
Goginan is a small village in Ceredigion lying on the A44 between Ponterwyd and Capel Bangor about 7 miles to the west of Aberystwyth. The village originally grew around farms in the area, but increased with the development of local mines.

OS benchmark - Goginan, Llys Awel
An OS cutmark, rather heavily painted, on the north face of the last house going out of the village. It was probably cut in 1955, and marks a point 138.721m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn.

Former chapel at Dollwen
Little change in condition since this was lat photographed Image nearly 6 years ago. Some building materials are stacked up against the far wall, but there's not much sign of any real work happening, and the fenestration's in a bit of a state at the moment.

Derelict chapel at Goginan
Down in the valley below the main part of the village (in fact, probably in Dollwen in truth) this small chapel is in a pretty poor state of repair now.

The Druid Inn, Goginan
Not much to look at from this side, but it's well worth a visit. It stocks Wye Valley beers and the Butty Bach is especially nice. Parking is at a premium in this village but the pub has its own car park.

Former chapel at Goginan
There is a substantial graveyard behind. Repair work is currently being undertaken inside the building but I don't know what the long term intentions are for it.
