Corris Institute
Corris Institute, a listed building that had fallen into disrepair, is being regenerated as a community centre with the aid of European and Welsh Assembly grants.

Corris.
This is Corris in about 1978 from Mynydd Fronfelen. The village's foundation was slate mining in the 19th C. The main road (top left) has just been rebuilt: during that process slate tips slowly weathering back to nature were bulldozed, and a certain amount of industrial heritage destroyed. At the time it was referred to as 'cosmetic landscaping'.
