Pontdolgoch railway station (site), Powys
Opened in 1863 by the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway, which very soon became part of the Cambrian Railway empire, this station closed in 1965.

A 'pont' at Pontdolgoch
'Pont' is Welsh for bridge. This probably isn't the one which gave the village its name as there is another, presumably older, bridge carrying the road over the Afon Carno. This one carries the railway over the A470.
The OS maps spell the village name differently between versions:
50,000 series - Pontdolgoch; 25,000 series: Pont Dol-goch.

Daffodils and lorries at Pontdolgoch
The lorries are on the A470, a very busy road. It was quite poor light so the camera flash triggered, causing the speed limit sign to 'glow'.
