G. F. Grigg Latham Park
Newtown purchased this site in the late 1940's. The ground is named Latham Park to honour a local sporting hero- Captain George Latham- who played for Liverpool, Stoke City & Cardiff, also winning 12 caps for Wales. He later became Cardiff City trainer and held that position when Cardiff City had their historic F.A. Cup victory over Arsenal in 1926/7. G F Grigg Construction currently sponsor the ground.
