The Manweb electricity substation is in the taller brick building between lockup garages in Lôn Helyg, set back from the north side of the A489 Llanidloes Road. Its identifier is 09-1090-10. A caution notice on the substation door shows the presence of SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride, an insulating gas used in high voltage systems).
