Cast iron post by the A5112, in parish of SHREWSBURY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), Whitchurch Road; Harlescott, South of old A5124 junction, on East side of road. Erected by the Preston Brockhurst (Shrewsbury to Shawbury) turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Harlescott milepost - detail
Actually, not all that much detail at all, to be honest, due to the fact that the cas-iron post is buried deep in the hedge and is practically invisible when the leaves are on the hawthorn.
