Cast iron post by the A5112, in parish of SHREWSBURY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), Whitchurch Road; Harlescott, South of old A5124 junction, on East side of road. Erected by the Preston Brockhurst (Shrewsbury to Shawbury) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SALOP / 2 / MILES : : WHITCHURCH / 17½ / MILES : : DRAYTON / 17 / MILES : Milestone Society National ID: SA_WCSB17.
