On the left, Swinton Insurance is at 39-40 Castle Street. There are To Let boards
on the former Jessops shop. The small premises in between, with the black
and amber awning, is Angie's Hair Salon. Koochini's coffee shop and
restaurant and a branch of Barclays Bank are on the right.

Dated 1723 in the rainwater heads. The even quoins are of that time. The stucco and shopfront are later. Grade II listed.
