Stonehouse Brewery, Weston

Weston Mill, Morda
Originally built as a woollen mill, Weston Mill was re-equipped to grind corn in about 1850. It still retains magnificent cast-iron machinery and four pairs of millstones, together with a large waterwheel. Unfortunately it is soon to be converted into a house, which will inevitably damage its special atmosphere.

Narrow gauge diesel loco
A group of enthusiasts has a short narrow gauge line in the railway yard at Weston. This Ruston-Barclay loco used to work at the Oswestry water works.

The Gobowen to Llynclys railway crosses the River Morda
Bridge suitable for heavy freight trains across the river. The line was used by trains from the quarries at Llynclys. It is now about to be managed by a Heritage Railway Trust. http://www.cambrianrailwaystrust.com/html/latest_news.html

Cows grazing beyond the ford
This ford allows access to fields on the other side of the River Morda at Weston. The cows are short of fresh grass due to the dry weather and are being fed silage left from last winter.
