Offa's Dyke Path near Trefonen
Crossing a small stream the trail traverses a pasture or two to reach Trefonen from the south west.

Charolais bullocks on Offa's Dyke Path south of Trefonen
On ODP walkers encounter cattle daily, at times incessantly, in field after field. These two, part of a small herd grazing some river meadows took only a friendly interest in me, though the closest one did attempt to follow me onto a narrow footbridge just after having his photo taken. They look soft and cuddly but are hard as nails, solid as a rock and weigh maybe 400 kgs - not a good idea to get befriended by such a hefty beast.
