Llynclys South railway station, Shropshire
Opened in 2005 by the Cambrian Heritage Railways Trust on their line to Penygarreg Halt, this line rebuilds part of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway of 1864, later part of the Cambrian Railways main line. The original Llynclys passenger station is behind the camera position, see Image, this site having been the original goods yard. View south east towards Penygarreg and Newtown.

Trackbed of former Cambrian Railway at Llynclys, 1967
View southward, where the Cambrian Heritage Railway opened their Llynclys South station in 2005 - cf. Image The original Llynclys station was behind the camera the other side of the bridge and was closed 18/1/65 along with the ex-Cambrian Whitchurch - Welshpool etc. main line as far as Buttington. In the left distance is Breidden Hill (1,202 ft.).

The end of the line, for now
