Bridge 85 at Crickheath Wharf
The wharf - on the other side of this bridge - has recently been restored. It's not yet open to navigation, and is in fact separated from the rest of the restoration scheme by a short length of dry canal bed. The bridge itself hasn't changed much since John Haynes took Image] seventeen years previously, but a lot of work has been carried out to return the once - derelict canal to water here.

Crickheath Wharf
The recently restored section of canal at Crickheath Wharf. John Haynes' photo Image] shows what the same scene looked like as recently as two years previously. My photo was taken from the earth bank currently built across the canal to keep the water in: behind me, the canal bed is still dry and awaiting relining.
