New Marton Locks near Whittington, Shropshire
There are two locks at New Marton on the Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union Canal altering the water level by just over twelve feet (3.75 metres). This is the upper one.

The tail gates of New Marton Lock No 2. There are two very rural locks west of New Marton. Together they allow a rise of 12ft 4in (3·75 metres).
