These tall, bay windowed, 19th century terraced houses are common in this area. They have normally been converted into flats by now. The colourful posters bottom left are flyposts for entertainment events.

15-41 Clapham Road
An early C19th terrace, not entirely uniform like most of Clapham Road's Georgian terraces. The round-headed ground-floor windows are characteristic of late Georgian builders. Grade II listed. Mostly still residential although the corner building is a dental surgery.

South Island Place from across the Brixton Road
This street corner was well known for the beautiful smell of baking bread early in the morning. Alas Wilson's (1st class bakers and confectioners) closed some 20 years ago.
