Former New Portland Arms, Wandsworth Road
One of two defunct pubs within less than a hundred yards of each other (Image]). This must be inter-war and proudly bears the name "The Wenlock Brewery Co Ltd" in a plaque at the top, quite a contrast with the ugly boards at street level.

The former Bell, Wandsworth Road
One of two defunct pubs within less than a hundred yards of each other (Image]), although the building is at least in use, as a shop, Pennysavers. Quite a jolly Victorian effort if a little crude (Image]).
