World War II machine gun nests on the railway line near Clapham Junction.
As you head towards Clapham Junction from Victoria and pass over the lines into Waterloo, you pass a little collection of buildings that look like lineside storage until you see the gun-slots and the blast-baffling wall screening the entrance doors: a large emplacement and two little ones north and south of it, commanding the railway lines into Waterloo and Victoria. Of course, impossible to get a decent shot of them as you pass them so quickly... See also Image and Image
