Preserved London Transport bus outside Stockwell Bus Garage
This photo shows RTL453 (KLB 648) a 1948 Leyland Titan PD2 with Park Royal 56-seater bodywork in Lansdowne Way picking up people for a tour on the old route 181 to Tooting Bec. This vehicle was withdrawn in 1966 and is now preserved. The YouTube film of this tour is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM19B5EeF7M, when Stockwell Bus Garage was holding its Open Day on Saturday 11th June 2022.

An Electric Bus at Stockwell Bus Garage
This photo shows Ee31 (LF20 XMJ) a 2020 BYD K9E with ADL Enviro 400 EV 67-seater bodywork with front entrance and centre exit. It is painted in a purple and white livery to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and is allocated to Northumberland Park Bus Depot (TQ3590). This electric bus is on display at an Open Day held at Stockwell Bus Garage on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Stockwell Bus Garage
Taken from Lansdowne Way, this photo shows the former London Transport bus garage which opened on Wednesday 2nd April 1952 and is unusual in having a reinforced concrete barrel-vaulted roof 392 feet long by 194 feet wide. It was granted Grade II listed status in 1988, reflecting its post-war architecture and engineering importance. This garage now used by Go-Ahead London General, accommodates 189 buses comprising of 141 double-decker and 48 single-decker buses. They operate on day routes 11, 77, 87, 88, 118, 155, 170 and G1, plus night routes N11, N44, N87, 88 and N155.

Stockwell Bus Garage (2)
Picture taken at the corner of Teversham Lane and Lansdowne Way. This depot was opened in 1952. At the time of construction it was the largest unsupported area under one roof in Europe.
