Keybridge House, South Lambeth Road (1)
Keybridge House is apparently unloved by the locals ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/2007/dec/30/features.review17 ), something which isn't helped by the fact that it appears rather unloved by its owners - its exterior is in need of a good clean and broken blinds have remained broken for years. Despite all that, over the years it's grown on me and I now admire, or at least respect, this building. It's hard to articulate exactly why, but I have come to appreciate the clean lines and shiny channelled aluminium panels. It was designed by G.W. Mills & Associates in 1975 and is currently owned by BT. Fuelled by its proximity to MI6's headquarters, conspiracy theories abound on the internet about its purpose and reputed cavernous basements.
