Earls Court Tube Station
Earl's Court Road entrance. This station was built before the formation of London Underground, hence the now defunct names of the railways on the sign. Other points to note : the Internet Cafe signboard is being held by a person, whose job it is to do nothing else but stand there and display the advertisement. These jobs are very common in London. There is also a Police Box across the road, near the roadworks -- not a common sight these days!

Earls Court Tube Station, inside
This is the "hub" of the District Line. There are several branches to it, but they all meet here. The railway runs underground here, but quite close to the surface.
