Henry J Bean's Kings Road Chelsea
During rebuilding work in 1901 a mammoth's tooth was found weighing 16lb. The pub was previously called The Six Bells; in the 1970s it was converted into a diner called the Bird's Nest. Sadly it has now closed down.

A 1965 shot, showing, on the other side of the road, the Hall of Residence and the Chemistry Department of Chelsea College of Science and Technology, together with Chelsea Fire Station. The buildings had been completed about 18 months earlier, part of a development which also included a new building for Chelsea College of Art.
