Dolphin Square
Dolphin Square is a block of private flats with some ground floor business units near the River Thames in Pimlico, built between 1935 and 1937 and marked a pinnacle of the 19th century and early 20th century garden squares in London. At one time it was home to more than 70 MPs, and at least 10 Lords. During World War 2 it became the HQ of General de Gaulle’s Free French, an ambulance station and a hospital whilst enduring the blitz.
