Morden Hall Park: Tramway crossing
This crossing lies on the Wandle Trail, and leads walkers following the trail from the main park to Deen City Farm. The crossing lies on a single-line section of the tram route, but cars will not stop just here. The crossing is between the Phipps Bridge stop and the Morden Road stop, but the path to the latter is very overgrown and in need of attention.

Tramlink route alongside Morden Hall Park
The Wimbledon to West Croydon Line was opened in 1855 and closed in 1997 so that the route could be taken over by Tramlink. The original line between Wimbledon and West Croydon just ran as a shuttle between those two stations and although it was electrified in 1930, trains on the line never continued elsewhere. In its latter years trains ran about every 45 minutes. Some sections were single line and this continued when Tramlink took over the route, as seen here near where the Wandle Trail crosses over the track to connect Deen City Farm with Morden Hall Park. This view looks in the direction of Morden Road and Wimbledon and is taken from Morden Hall Park.
