That's how it's mapped, rather than St James' Drive. For the northernmost 250 metres, terraced houses on the right face an area of the common by the station.

Wandsworth Common, The Hope
Pub at the corner of Bellevue Road and St. James's Drive. In common with other properties in the area, the pub has been gentrified; internally, back bar, with dining on a lower level, and drinking/eating on the upper level. Terrace, background music. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Fuller's London Pride, Sambrook's Junction, Sharp's Doom Bar, Shepherd Neame Early Bird.
