Furzedown Lodge, Furzedown Drive
A pretty and archetypal little thing. Deeply-coved eaves, arched entrance with colonettes, attractive diamond-shaped glazing bars, and chimneystacks almost as tall as the lodge itself. Built c1862 to the designs of J.K. Knowles. Grade II listed. It was built as the lodge to Furzedown, which I believe survives, albeit subsumed into a local school.

Furzedown Lodge on Tooting Graveney Common
Furzedown Lodge doubtless belonged to one of the nearby estates which used to be hereabouts. It is now next to a roundabout but at least it is still here as a link with the area's history and is well looked after.
