Former booking office, Barnes Bridge station.
Barnes Bridge is the first station on the Hounslow Loop Line (which opened in 1849-50) and is now unstaffed. The opening of the station itself on 12th March 1916 coincided with the electrification of the line. The premises seen here have been used by the Barnes Physiotherapy & Sports Centre since 2005.

Steps at Barnes Bridge
Irritatingly for the arthritic, those wishing to get to the platform at Barnes Bridge station from across the river must first descend and then climb again. The steps descend further back to the left to The Terrace. The houses beyond are on Malthouse Passage.
