Balham railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1863 by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway on the line from London Victoria to East Croydon, this station replaced an 1856 one situated immediately behind the camera position.
View south east towards Streatham Common and East Croydon.

The Southern station exterior is seen on the left, and further along is the entrance to the Underground station, (Northern Line). The interchange between the two stations is not particularly popular or convenient.
