Church of the Ascension, Lavender Hill: north side
The lesser seen side of this well known church. The view is from the vicarage garden where I was by invitation. The Vicar pointed out an interesting feature - a door half way up the wall. It apparently led via a bridge to the convent that formerly stood where the vicarage is now, so that the nuns could attend church services without having to leave holy ground.
