Cedars Motor Engineering Co
This building on Cedars Road displays a fascinating palimpsest of painted signs. It appears to have originally been a livery stable or similar, with signs including "horses bought or sold", "horses and carriages jobbed for any period", "traveller contracts" and "Broughams supplied". In a later motorised age, these were over-written with signs such as "cars for hire", "weddings - theatres - stations", "repairs" and the name "Cedars Motor Eng'ing Com". As of 2010 there was a property agent's sign promoting the site as a "development opportunity" so it could soon be gone.

Queenstown Road
Judging by its first floor windows, the building forming the east side of Queenstown Road must have been quite handsome before the ugly ground floor extensions were added.

London Clapham Hotel, Wandsworth Road
A splendid frontage to what is now a hotel run by Premier Inns. And it is only a frontage, you can see the rest of the hotel looming over the top. But as to what it was originally, I don't know. Hotel websites tend to want you to book rooms, not ask questions about history.
