One down, one to go. The old warehouse on the left has yet to be converted into riverside apartments - perhaps delayed by economic recession? "Chelsea Wharf" is still visible on the gable.

Cremorne Gardens gates - Lots Road, SW10
Gates to a now long forgotten Victorian pleasure garden, (on the scale of Vauxhall and Ranelagh) the site is much smaller now, and people walking past probably have no idea the importance of the site anymore.

Chelsea houseboat village
Seen from Cremorne Road, these are the most exclusive houseboats in London. Residents include artist Damien Hirst and previous residents have included Sir Laurence Olivier. Residents own the boats but must buy a five or 10-year licence to moor, which can cost up to £60,000 plus annual berthing and maintenance fees of about £160 per foot of mooring. Chelsea houseboat village was once known for its bohemian lifestyle, but many of the vessels now house wealthy professionals seeking an alternative lifestyle. It has been compared to a floating Coronation Street because of the strength of community spirit. In this view the buses in the distance are on Battersea Bridge, with the distinctive outline of Albert Bridge beyond that.
