War Memorial
Looking towards Biddulph War Memorial. If we compare this picture with picture number Image taken by www.fotodiscs4u.co.uk in 2006, we can see that the shops on the left are being renovated and the section of the High Street has now become one way. I wonder what it will look like in another three years.

The paintings have disappeared!
About two weeks after Image, Image, Image and Image were taken, the buildings that had the artwork depicting "shop windows" were demolished. According to the shop owner next door there will be three shops and six flats built in the gap. I was rather lucky here as I had no prior knowledge of the demolition.

Pedleys store
Pedleys shop, at the Northern end of the High Street, is a true General Store. Mr Pedley stocks anything and everything, from foodstuffs to hardware! If you can't find what you want elsewhere the chances are that he will have it, unfortunately these sort of shops are fast disappearing in the face of competition, let's hope that Mr Pedley can keep going!

The Roebuck
This pub has been closed for some time now, it is unknown whether it will open again. It has been here a long time, whilst researching some history for another photograph I discovered that the Roebuck was named on maps dating from 1876; so it will be a shame if it is lost through neglect or other means.
