City Road Roundabout!
This is the junction of the A500 and the A5007 in Stoke. It has since been completely rebuilt. In the distance can be seen St. Peter's Church and further to the right, Stoke Civic Centre.

Egyptian motifs on former cinema at Church Street, Stoke
Location: 37/38 Church Street, Stoke - On the upper façade of this former cinema; now almost derelict but ground floor is occupied
Date of installation: c.1930s
This 1930s cinema has a decorative relief cartouche on the centre of the upper façade. The cartouche is a winged circle flanked by a pair of cobras, the motif is Egyptian, the circle representing the sun.
