The Star and Garter public house, Wolverhampton Road, Stafford
The Star and Garter public house is on the junction of Wolverhampton Road (A449) and Park Street. It is part of the Dorbiere Pub Group. According to its website the building dates back to the 1820s and over 30 craft gins are served.

The White Lion
Lichfield Road to the right and White Lion Street to the left (now a cul-de-sac). The main Lichfield Road has been redirected and now travels around the back of these buildings. The white building used to be the White Lion public house but is now a small business outlet.

The 'Good Old Days'?
This is a view from Lichfield Road looking in the direction of Wolverhampton Road into White Lion Street. The small stone building used to be part of the town walls and was used as a lock-up in times gone by. The structure was moved to its present situation when the new road system was built.
