The White Lion
Lichfield Road to the right and White Lion Street to the left (now a cul-de-sac). The main Lichfield Road has been redirected and now travels around the back of these buildings. The white building used to be the White Lion public house but is now a small business outlet.

The 'Good Old Days'?
This is a view from Lichfield Road looking in the direction of Wolverhampton Road into White Lion Street. The small stone building used to be part of the town walls and was used as a lock-up in times gone by. The structure was moved to its present situation when the new road system was built.

And another one bites the dust
Once situated on the busy Lichfield Road the Malt and Hops became isolated on a large traffic islandd when the roads were re-configured in the 1970s. Several permutations later The Island bar is available to rent.
