Former Sentinel buildings in Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent
Seen from Forge Lane in warm evening sunlight.
Bulldozers moved in at the former home of The Sentinel newspaper in July 2014 to make way for a £30 million new HQ for bet365, a gambling company which planned to move its 2300 staff into a new headquarters on this site by the beginning of 2016.
The construction of their new building was only slightly delayed. https://www.steelconstruction.info/Bet365_Headquarters,_Stoke-on-Trent
Before the Sentinel came here, this was the site of the Wedgwood Etruria factory, opened in 1769, and closed in 1950, then demolished ten years later.
