Stone Station
Dating from 1849, Stone station is a good example of North Staffordshire Railway architecture. The buildings are no longer in railway use, but since December the station has enjoyed regular train services to London and Crewe. For several years, while modernisation work was undertaken, the station was only served by a replacement bus service.

Stone Station and the former Bent's Brewery
The tall building with chimney is the former tower brewery built in the 1880s and 8 storeys high. There is an adjoining large shed with a concrete vaulted roof (I think). This is probably of some significance.

2008 : Stone Railway Station
This once proud edifice built to the glory of Stone and the North Staffordshire Railway Company now has a notice in the window saying "No public toilet facilities or tickets sold at this building." You might get refreshments in a van parked outside, if you are lucky.
