Old Pound, Stafford Road, Uttoxeter
Late 18th century Grade II Listed group of 12 stone posts with pockets that once housed rails to form an enclosure. Probably originally from Pinfold Street. (Pinfold : a pound for stray animals).

These pillars look as if they once formed an animal pound, and form a less than inviting surround to the seat for anyone wishing to brave the traffic at this junction!

Old Milepost by the A518, Stafford Road, Uttoxeter
Cast iron post by the A518, in parish of Uttoxeter (East Staffordshire District), by Plough PH, near junction, on grass, on South side of road. Between new house 'The Ashes' and 'The Plough Inn'. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.
