View to rear of Uttoxeter Racecourse grandstand
Uttoxeter racecourse is on the other side of the building shown. The Derby-Stoke railway line runs in a shallow cutting behind the fence. The racecourse is home to the Midlands Grand National run every March.

Uttoxeter Railway Station looking east in the Derby direction
Uttoxeter Railway Station looking east on the Stoke-Derby section of the route. The line operated by East Midlands Railways. Services run between Newark Castle, Derby, Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. The station is unstaffed but CCTV is operated. The bridge in the distance serves the racecourse carpark on the left-hand side, the station and Uttoxeter Racecourse on the right-hand side of the image.

Uttoxeter racecourse
The two stands at Uttoxeter rececourse on a June Sunday just before the first race. The one furlong marker can just be seen beyond the parts of jumps which are resting on the left. Just after this photograph was taken, the heavens opened!
