Quarry plant at Uttoxeter Quarry
Sand and gravel extraction began at Uttoxeter Quarry in 2001 and is due to last until 2023. After that, the site will be restored by 2025. Ultimately, part of it may be redeveloped as a marina at the terminus of a reinstated Uttoxeter Canal.

Route of the former Churnet Valley Line
The North Staffordshire Railway Churnet Valley Line opened in 1849. The section between Uttoxeter and Oakamoor closed in 1965.

Site of UK's first Automatic Half Barrier level crossing, Spath, Staffordshire
Looking southwest, taken from the point where the railway used to cross this minor road, the crossing being the first in the UK to be converted to Automatic Half Barrier operation in 1961. Practically no trace of the crossing remains apart from a few concrete foundations for the east side barrier
