Bottle kilns next to Caldon Canal in Hanley
The very busy A52 passes through the village of Kingsley in the Staffordshire moorlands. This view is to the west towards Cellarhead. To the east of Kingsley is Froghall, with its preserved railway and the wharf on the Caldon canal.

Old Milepost by the A52, Kingsley parish
Cast iron post by the A52, in parish of KINGSLEY (STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS District), between Kingsley and Kingsley Moor, in bracken, on South side of road. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.
