The Fisherman's Chapel, Leigh on Sea
Founded by John Wesley in 1748. The current building is the fourth version of this church, previous incarnations having suffered from the vibrations caused by the nearby railway line.

Endeavour - a Dunkirk little ship
Cockle boat Endeavour - registered number LO41 - was built by Cole and Wiggins in Leigh-on-Sea in 1924.
In May 1940 she was one of six boats from Leigh that took part in Operation Dynamo - the Dunkirk evacuations.
