Aerial view of Thundersley Plotlands from the north-west
The road curving along the bottom is the A127, Southend Arterial Road. The built-up area in the distance is Benfleet. Between are the fields and light industry comprising the Thundersley Plotlands. Great Burches Road runs almost horizontally, from the yellow field in the right, along the middle and curving away at the left centre. In the far distance is the Thames Estuary.

The End of Windermere Rd
This dirt track glories in the name of Windermere Rd! (the sign can be seen in the bushes to the left). There is a bridleway that passes from left to right in front of the gate.
